Inweekly followed with a news tip that another suicide happened at the Escambia County Jail. We were sent this information:
A 43-year-old white male was transported from the Escambia County Main jail at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21. The inmate was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased just before 7 a.m.
Further details will become available pending completion of an Escambia County Sherriff’s Office investigation.

On Nov. 1, 2014, another suicide happened in the jail. It’s my understanding the Medical Examiner has yet to release her report on the incident.
