The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department and the Community Maritime Park Associates would like to invite non-profit organizations to participate in the 2nd year of the Community Maritime Park Volunteer Parking Program.
This program gives local non-profits the opportunity to gain exposure as well as fundraise at one of the Blue Wahoos five (5) game home stands this summer. There are a total of 14 home stands and non-profits are allowed to volunteer for one (1) home stand per season.
The inaugural year of the program was able to raise over $24,000 for local non-profit organizations. âWeâre looking forward to a great season and are excited to be able to continue this parking program for another year,â said Justin Paul, Program Specialist at Community Maritime Park.
Paul added, âIn order to continue our commitment to community service we are going to open the registration for the 2015 Volunteer Parking Program to organizations that have not had the opportunity to participate first. Past participants will still have the opportunity to register as an alternate should any of the dates become available. We will open registration for past participants on March 1, 2015.â
