Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola makes Top 50 Heart Hospitals list

Ascension Sacred Heart

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola has earned its place among America’s elite cardiovascular facilities, securing a spot on Fortune and Premier Inc.’s list of the 50 best cardiovascular hospitals in the nation. This marks the eighth time the Pensacola hospital has received this prestigious recognition.

“It certainly fills our entire clinical team here with an immense sense of accomplishment to see a Pensacola hospital shine on the national level,” said Will Condon, President & CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. “I’m thankful to our cardiovascular team for their tireless work in achieving this honor.”

The significance of this recognition becomes even more apparent against the backdrop of America’s heart health crisis. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease claims a life every 33 seconds in the United States, with approximately one in 20 adults aged 20 and older affected by coronary artery disease, the most common form of cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Mark Grise, an interventional cardiologist at the hospital, attributed the achievement to the collective effort of the cardiovascular team. “This honor is a recognition of every colleague on the cardiovascular team who has helped Sacred Heart Pensacola stand out and provide some of the best heart care in the country.”

The recognition reinforces Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola’s long-standing commitment to the health of Northwest Florida residents, with hospital leadership pledging to continue this tradition of excellence for generations to come.
