Autism Pensacola presents Autism Safety Conference

Autism Pensacola, Inc. will present a regional conference on safety issues concerning those living with autism. The conference will be held at Pensacola State College, Milton Campus Thursday, March 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for the public. The conference will feature an open panel discussion with nationally respected speakers. The session is free to attend.

Friday, March 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. a conference will be held for professionals in the law enforcement, first response and criminal justice fields. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The conference is free to attend and lunch will be provided for attendees.

Today 1 in 110 children is diagnosed with autism.  The community should be educated in the signs of autism as well as effective ways to interact with individuals in the autism spectrum.
