Bands on the Bayou returns tomorrow

Get ready for a spectacular evening of music, community, and fun as the highly anticipated Bands on the Bayou returns to Bayview Park in Pensacola’s East Hill neighborhood on Friday, May 24. This family-friendly event, set against the beautiful backdrop of Bayou Texar, promises an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all ages.

The evening features the local musical talent of Ben Loftin & The Family, known for their signature “white sand soul” sounds. While the band kicks off at 6:30 p.m., come as early as 5 p.m. to claim your spot on the grass and enjoy a diverse array of food trucks and vendors, serving up delicious local cuisine and refreshing beverages with Flour’ish, Cousins Maine Lobster, Pcola Rolla, Queen Sheba Delights & Whim Cotton Candy.

Attendees can also look forward to games and giveaways from concert sponsors and learning about the evening’s two featured nonprofits – Dixon School of Arts & Sciences and Pensacola Children’s Chorus.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities. The event aims to foster a sense of togetherness while supporting local musical talent, nonprofits, and businesses.

“We’re thrilled to bring Bands on the Bayou to the Pensacola community,” said event chair Lauren Gund. “This event has always been about bringing our community together to enjoy great music, support local nonprofits, and create lasting memories. We can’t wait to see everyone come out and celebrate with us as we kick off Memorial Day weekend.”

Admission to Bands on the Bayou is free, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners.
