Did you see the PNJ’s article from its sister publication in Tallahassee on Crist and Holly Benson and their crusade to bring plain language to government? Headline: “Crist wants government to communicate in ‘plain language”

This paragraph caught my eye:

Benson, until two weeks ago a Republican House member from Pensacola, proudly presented her new boss with a red marking pen and vowed to have a new language policy in place by the end of the week.

District 3 and Escambia County lost its most senior State House representative so she could mark up letters with a red pen????? Most of us would be embarassed being shown as such a kiss up. What a waste of a Dartmouth education and a law degree.

Property insurance vs. too many big words

Healthcare vs. dangling participles

Education/literacy vs. renegade hair dressers

Tough choices…….
