The much-anticipated Beulah Interchange may start construction as soon as mid-2025, thanks to Sen. Doug Broxson’s help. The Senate Appropriations chair says FDOT has shifted grants from stalled projects in South Florida to accelerate the $240 million project.
“For years and years, ever since I was the chairman of the TPO and the vice chairman three or four years back, we had the Beulah Interchange right there at the top of the list,” District 1 County Commissioner Jeff Bergosh said on WCOA this morning.
“It was a lot of hard work by a lot of people lining up this as the priority for the region for many, many years, and the steady leadership of Doug Broxton to bring it home and make the deal. This will be part of his legacy. He’s been a great senator and asset.”
