BeulahFest issue: Fire suppression

On March 17–three days before the event–Escambia County Fire Marshall Stephen Rinaldi drafted a letter to Beau Rodrique, Beulahfest chairman to point out the code requirements for the food vendors utilizing cooking operations that generate grease-laden vapors. The letter states “per your request” so I assume Rinaldi and Rodrique had already discussed the issue. This letter was drafted at Bureau Chief Frank Edwards’ instruction, but, according to County PIO Sonya Daniel it was never sent. Read BF_Draft_Letter_never_sent-1.

The actual permit for the event clearly states Rodrique and the volunteer firefighters will adhere to the state fire codes. Read Beulahfest_2010.
