The Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company (SETSCO) is celebrating Shakespeare’s 450th birthday with a fundraiser for their upcoming production of The Taming of the Shrew. Tickets for the fundraiser will go on sale April 7, 2014. The company will hold a party for Shakespeare on his birthday at New York Nick’s. Everyone is invited to enjoy cake and a performance by Company members. SETSCO is also selling a limited number of tickets for a night out at one of nearly two-dozen participating restaurants. Everyone who buys a ticket will receive a gift.
“It’s a night out to dinner all over town for Shakespeare,” said SETSCO Director Michelle Hancock. “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our favorite local restaurants. Having the support of so many different businesses and individuals lets us know that our community supports teens, arts, education, and Shakespeare in a big way.”

Participating restaurants include:
Hemingway’s
The Grand Marlin
Bonefish Grill
Fish House
Five Sisters Blues Cafe
Friday’s
Sluggo’s
Taste of India
Olive Garden
Oar House
Red Robin
Red Fish, Blue Fish
Tuscan Oven
Nick’s Boathouse
Cactus Flower
Hooters
Horizen
Hub Stacey
East Hill Yard

Tickets for the event will be available from SETSCO board members and through their website, setsco.org. The Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to providing teens in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties with instruction and performance opportunities that lead to their significant growth as artists and community members.
