Until this week, people have remarked how positive and clean the District 4 County Commission race has been. Then, the Committee to Protect Florida sent out its Blackface, race-baiting mailer designed to weaken support for Walker Wilson and pile on the County Clerk Pam Childers’s persecution of Commissioner May.
- Buck Mitchell, also running for the District 4 seat, has no ties to Mark Zubaly, who runs the Committee to Protect Florida. His campaign told Inweekly, “The Mitchell campaign has no paid or unpaid political consultants. Buck is advised by only family and close friends.”
The Mitchell campaign has run a positive campaign, earning the endorsements of Sen. Doug Broxson, three former Pensacola mayors, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
- Also, Commissioner Lumon May raised nearly half of his campaign contributions from District 4 voters.
