Body parts get Berkland arrested, and it gets worse

State Attorney Bill Eddins announced today that Michael Berkland has been arrested on one county of Improper Disposal/Storage of Hazardous Waste and one count of Public Nuisance. The Improper storage is a third-degree felony, punishable up to five years in state prison, and the public nuisance is a second degree misdemeanor punishable up to 60 days in county jail.

The charges result from the discovery of human organs and tissues in an Uncle Bob’s storage unit that Berkland rented.

Berkland was, at the time of his arrest, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and was also charge with that offense.
