Rebecca Boles, interim publisher of the Pensacola News Journal, has been selected as Gulf Power Company’s Corporate Communications director.
From Press Release: Boles has served in various leadership roles at the Pensacola News Journal since 2005, including Marketing Development director and general manager of Bella and Pensacola Home and Garden magazines. She began working for McRae’s Department Store in Pensacola in 1987, holding the position of general manager of the store when she left in 2005. She has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Florida State University.
“Becca is well-known in the community and brings a wealth of print and electronic media experience and seasoned leadership to Gulf Power,†Bentina Terry, vice president of External Affairs and Corporate Services, said. “Her retail sales and marketing experience also are beneficial to keep our focus on customers.â€
The director position Boles is filling was created by dividing the Public Affairs and Economic Development department into two departments — Corporate Communications and the Community and Economic Development Department — and by splitting Communication Services from Corporate Services led by JT Young. John Hutchinson, director of Public Affairs and Economic Development will continue to lead the Community and Economic Development Department. Young will continue to lead the team that includes Risk Management, Security, Facilities and Land. Hutchinson, Young and Boles will report to Terry.
