Boles gets third Gannett publisher’s ring

Becca Boles, the marketing director for Bella magazine and the Gannett-owned daily newspaper, was honored with their third President’s Ring, the top award within the U.S. community newspapers division. Thirty-eight rings were awarded, Boles is the only Pensacola recipient.

“These honors reinforce our commitment to the local communities we serve. Our local leadership teams provide quality journalism and content important to our readers along with a variety of marketing services to help local businesses grow. This has been a tradition at Gannett for more than 100 years,” said Bob Dickey, president of Gannett, in press release.

Last year, no local Gannett employees were given a president’s ring. In 2009, Boles, Holly Severson, director/human resources, and Martin Calhoun, information technology director, received rings.
