MESSAGE FROM THE CITY OF PENSACOLA
Dear Resident/Property Owner:
On July 18, 2013, the City of Pensacola will begin construction on Phase 1 of the South Palafox Corridor Bollard Project. Phase 1 of this project includes the installation of bollard bases at Palafox/Garden, Palafox/Government, and mid-block locations on East & West Romana and East & West Intendencia.
More specifically, the proposed placement will include the installation of limited foundations into the existing pavement surface to accommodate removable stainless steel bollards for traffic control purposes during large public events (Gallery Night, etc.). All work will take place within the City Roadway and it is the City’s desire to accommodate any concerns you may have during construction to the greatest extent possible. Any areas disturbed due to the construction will be returned to their original condition and vehicular access will only be limited for short periods of time at the aforementioned intersections.
Construction is anticipated to take approximately 45 days and is scheduled to begin on July 18, 2013 and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience you may experience during the construction of these improvements.
