BonfireJam Tickets To Go On Sale At Pen Air and Walgreen’s

Press release: The Second Annual BonfireJam, scheduled Dec. 10, will begin pre-selling tickets at all Pen Air Federal Credit Union branches and 29 area Walgreens, according to Joe Lewis, the event’s promoter.

“This is exciting news,” Lewis said. “We’re thrilled to partner with Pen Air and Walgreens. Having tickets available at those locations, along with on our Web site will put us in front of a lot more people and will make buying tickets easier for everyone.” Tickets at Pen Air do not have a service charge!

Tickets for the event, which was first held last year in conjunction with Chumuckla’s Redneck Christmas Parade, will go on sale at all Pen Air branches Aug. 30. Walgreens will begin selling tickets Sept. 13. Only $25 general admission and $35 premium seating tickets will be sold at those locations. All other tickets, including camping packages, will be available through bonfirejam.com on 9/13.

Josh Turner, a Grand Ole Opry member and multi-platinum MCA recording artist, has already been announced as one act for the event. Lewis promised announcements on additional talent would be forthcoming shortly.

“We are close to finalizing the bill and we expect to have an announcement soon, maybe before tickets go on sale at Pen Air,” he said.

Previously Lewis announced changes to the festival and the parade to facilitate easier access by fans to the events.

“We are working with the Chumuckla Athletic Association, the parade sponsor, and law enforcement to help solve the traffic and parking issues we had last year,” he said. “With a new extended route and more parking we expect less traffic, fewer delays and more fun for everybody. Opening the festival grounds to free parking until 3 p.m. will help. But we still urge people to arrive early.”

Billed as “A day of country culture; a night of country music,” BonfireJam and the parade comprise a daylong parade/music festival. Last year’s BonfireJam was well received and Lewis says with more time for planning and publicity he only expects the festival to grow.

“We’re the only winter country music festival in the Southeast,” said Lewis. ‘I’m from Milton and I’m committed to growing this event to attract more talent, more people, and more money for the various charities this event helps.”

Among the charities that benefited from BonfireJam are Relay for Life, Santa Rosa Kid’s House, the Santa Rosa County Veterans Memorial, the Chumuckla Athletic Association’s “Fill the Sleigh” drive for needy children and Big Dreams, which awards laptops to deserving seniors at Milton High School.
