Bookies favor Romney on Super Tuesday

With the Republican presidential candidates gearing up for Super Tuesday, Paddy Power have installed former governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney as the favourite to win in over half of the primaries.

Romney’s nearest rival looks to be former Senator Rick Santorum who is favourite for two states while Newt Gingrich is the favourite in his home state of Georgia.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power are also offering odds on how many states will be won by Romney on Tuesday. Here it’s 10/11 that the current leader of race collects over 5.5 states with odds of 4/5 on offer for him to top the poll in under 5.5 states.

Paddy Power said “It looks as though the other candidates could be playing catch up following next weeks primaries, I don’t think that we can write off the rest of the candidates just yet but the odds do suggest that it could be an amazing Tuesday for Romney.”
