Born to Learn

Today the Early Learning Coalition of Escambia County will dedicate the third Born Learning Trail at Roger Scott Tennis Center sponsored by Baptist Health Care, which will offer learning games to help children build pre-literacy skills critical to school readiness.

The Born Learning trail features 10 signs that teach and help deepen the impact of early childhood development. The trail support national outcomes including: building language and literacy skills, building social-emotional development, creating understanding by parents of early learning objectives and creating fun moments.

Born Learning trails are part of United Way Worldwide’s  strategies on early childhood education. For more information about the Born Learning trails in Escambia County and opportunities to sponsor more trails, contact Gloria Thompson at 516-9003 or gthompson@elcescambia.org.
