Pensacola’s daily newspaper fulfilled the Gannett mission of being a marketing solution…this time for British Petroleum.
The ad, titled “The Gulf Oil Spill Response,” tells readers that
-“BP has done and continues to do everything possible to respond to the situation”
-“BP has taken full responsibility for dealing with the spill.” —-They are required to do so by federal law.
There is one sentence from BP in the ad I want all of us to remember:
“We are determined to leave nothing undone in the effort to stop the flow and minimize any potential impact.”
Ad gives these websites:
www.bp.com/gulfofmexicoresponse
www.deepwaterhorizonresponse.com
And these hot lines (not sure which one CFO Alex Sink was told to call):
Report oil on shoreline: (866) 448-5816
Report impacted wildlife: (866) 557-1401
Make spill-related claims: (800) 440-0858
Volunteer information: (866) 448-5816
