St. Pete Times reports Gov. Crist is supposedly battling BP over more money for advertising:
“Two weeks ago, Crist asked BP for another $50 million. This time, the company said no. Crist is letting up on his request.” Read more.
NY Times thinks BP can handle the estimated $6 billion to clean-up this oil disaster, possible $11B in fines and the $20B claim fund without straining its finances: “The company will generate $30 billion of cash flow this year. It is on track to sell $10 billion of assets, possibly to the Apache Corporation, and has $20 billion of cash or committed banking facilities in place.” Read more.
