BPM gets Mobile contract add-on

Jane Birdwell and her crew at BPM land a $200,000 add-on to its Mobile marketing contract. BPM operates for Mobile County Commission the Web sites comebackhometomobile.com and keepourtanker.com and had requested the additional $200,000 to continue to provide services promoting the county’s effort to keep a $40 billion aerial refueling tanker contract that the Air Force awarded to Northrop-Grumman-EADS on Feb. 29.

The measure passed 2-1 with commissioners Mike Dean and Stephen Nodine, both Republicans, supporting it while Merceria Ludgood, the commission’s lone Democrat, dissented.
