BRACE Urges Escambia and Santa Rosa Residents to Call Crisis Cleanup for Storm Cleanup Assistance
Call 1-800-451-1954 for help with fallen trees, debris, roof tarping and flood-damaged homes
PENSACOLA, Fla. — Be Ready Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) is urging Escambia and Santa Rosa county residents affected by Hurricane Isaias to call the Crisis Cleanup hotline at 1-800-451-1954 to request assistance with tree work, debris cleanup, roof tarping, mucking out and gutting storm-damaged homes.
As the lead for Emergency Support Function 15 (ESF-15), Volunteers and Donations, for both counties, BRACE is coordinating local and national partners to help residents access cleanup assistance, food, water, personal hygiene items and other essential supplies. BRACE works alongside county emergency management to connect community needs with organizations and volunteers able to help.
Crisis Cleanup records requests and makes them available to participating relief organizations.
Depending on available volunteers and resources, assistance may include:
- Cutting and removing fallen trees.
- Clearing storm debris.
- Installing temporary roof tarps.
- Removing mud and water-damaged belongings.
- Removing damaged drywall and other materials through mucking and gutting.
- Assistance provided through participating volunteer organizations is free. Submitting a request does not guarantee service or a specific response time.
For cleanup assistance, call 1-800-451-1954. For food, water, personal items and other unmet needs, call 211 to connect with available community resources. Residents facing a life-threatening emergency should call 911.
Recovery needs will continue after roads reopen and utilities are restored. BRACE’s coordination efforts help local and national partners work together to support households as they move from immediate storm response into recovery.
