Breaking: Corcoran may be picked to head New College

The Tampa Bay Times is reporting former Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran is slated to be New College’s new president, according to a DeSantis spokesperson.

Corcoran tried to be the president of Florida State University in 2021 but wasn’t selected. He was Florida Speaker of the House and has a bachelor’s degree from St. Leo University and a law degree from Regents University. He currently serves on the State University System Board of Governors.

The New College Board of Trustees is meeting this afternoon. The fix may be in.
