IT’S NOW OFFICIAL:
Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Ashlee Hofberger to the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Ashlee Hofberger to the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners.
Ashlee Hofberger
Hofberger, of Pensacola, is the Owner of The Wash Room Laundromat. She is the recipient of the 2019 National Association for Industrial and Office Properties Member of the Year. A volunteer of the PACE Center for Girls, Hofberger earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of West Florida.
My Tallahassee sources have shared that Gov. Ron DeSantis will appoint Ashlee Hofberger to fill the District 4 Escambia County Commission seat today. She still has to face Democrat Ron Helms in the Nov. 5 general election.
The District 4 seat has been vacant since January when the governor appointed Robert Bender the county’s supervisor of elections.
After the August primary, I wrote that the governor should let Hofberger fill the seat. Both Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves and State Rep. Alex Andrade requested DeSantis do it.
