Agenda:

II. Executive Director Resignation and Next Steps

A good question for the media to ask Woods is why she originally decided to hold a public meeting in the private conference room at a private law firm? I doubt it was her idea. The Escambia Children’s Trust legal counsel Meredith Bush works for Clark Partington. Was it her idea? ECT has held other public meeting in Clark Partington’s boardroom and in other private venues to include a building in the Walmart parking lot on Creighton Road. The ECT website lists Meeting Schedule Details. That seems like another good question to ask Florida’s Attorney General. May the Escambia Children’s Trust (an independent special district of local government whose Local Governing Authority is Escambia County) hold public meetings in private places? It seems a very bad idea. If not legal, are all actions taken at such meetings void ab initio? By the way, the Meeting Schedule Details right now describes that the Emergency Meeting is going to be held at 3:30 pm on August 18th. That’s not what it says above. Another screwup?
