This morning the State Commission on Ethics voted to remove Escambia County Commissioner Doug Underhill from office, primarily because he released confidential documents regarding a shade meeting. The board’s attorney called Underhill’s action “an absolute disregard for the law.”
Commissioner Underhill will definitely appeal. Gov. DeSantis will have to make decision whether to remove him from office.
We will have more on this later.
What’s the process for an appeal at this point. It’s a final order.
At issue is whether this lifetime huckster and grifter should be receiving lifetime taxpayer provided pension as a reward for his unrepentant lack of ethics throughout his time in office.
The man is nothing but a two bit crook who ought to be in jail for his actual crimes, which are many. If the governor removes him, he should consider it a comparative blessing.
