Breaking: Fewer books being restricted in school libraries

Dr. Tim Smith, the Escambia County school superintendent, explains the school library policy approved by the school board last night. All those books that have been identified as violating the state’s pornography law will be placed in a restricted area while they’re being reviewed. Parents will have to give written permission for their children to read those books.

Other books that have been challenged will stay in the general circulation while they are under review.
