Breaking: Fred Donovan Sr. stepping down

Baskerville-Donovan, Inc., a leading engineering firm, announced today that Fred Donovan, Sr. will transition to the role of Chairman Emeritus. In this capacity, Mr. Donovan will continue to provide invaluable guidance and insight to the company, drawing upon his extensive experience and expertise in the engineering consulting industry.

As Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Donovan will maintain an advisory role, offering mentorship to BDI’s leadership team. His ongoing involvement underscores the company’s commitment to preserving its legacy of engineering innovation and community service.

Fred Donovan, Sr. began working at the firm in 1964 and has been a driving force behind Baskerville-Donovan’s success for many years. Throughout his tenure as Chairman and CEO, he has steered the company through periods of significant growth and transformation, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner to clients across the region. Mr. Donovan’s commitment to community service has become a defining value at the firm and has been recognized by many organizations and charities over the years. In 2018, Mr. Donovan was inducted into the Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Hall of Fame.

Fred Donovan, Jr. will assume duties as Board Chairman, effective immediately. With extensive experience in the engineering sector, Fred has been a valuable asset to the board, previously serving as Vice Chairman since 2014. In 2022, Keith Hill stepped into the position of CEO, under whose leadership the company has witnessed notable enhancements in performance, capabilities, and overall leadership culture.

Commenting on his transition, Mr. Donovan expressed gratitude for his association with the firm and the new generation of leadership.
