Breaking: Lumpy DeWeese transfers to UWF

Stetson defensive back Lumpy Deweese, youngest son of Jeff and Maren Deweese, has transferred to the University of West Florida. He has enrolled in the second semester and will play for Coach Caleb Nobles.

Why?

Our coach at Stetson resigned, so there were some uncertainties with the staff,” he said on (we don’t) color on the dog. “We got a free look in the portal, and then UWF came calling. After that visit, it was incredible. It’s a great school, and the community really supports what they do out there really well.”

UWF’s facilities impressed Deweese. “It’s almost incomparable. UWF is brand new–hot tub, cold tub, everything. Locker room’s brand new. And one of the cool things is you walk through the locker room, and you see all these names of people I grew up around sponsoring each and every locker.”

Deweese will join two of his Gulf Breeze High School teammates on the UWF football team. “So a good crop of Breezers. They have a bunch of local guys. Something I found out while I was out there is they really only recruit Florida and Alabama.”

  1. Your radio station should have a name change . It should be “Commercials and very little talk” radio. You do more air time on commercials than Any radio station I know of.
    Very annoying.
