Retired banker Rodney Jackson passed away this morning after a brief illness. Rodney returned to Pensacola about ten months ago to serve as the Director of Business Engagement for The Spring and the Studer Community Institute. He wanted to use his retail and commercial banking expertise to help small businesses.
Rodney focused on removing barriers to increase the number of successful minority-owned businesses in the Greater Pensacola area.
I remember him as one of the original board members of Community Maritime Park Associates that made the Community Maritime Park a reality.
