Escambia County Property Appraiser Bubba Peters and his staff have been working the total impact of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ constitutional amendment to reduce property taxes on all the Escambia entities receiving ad valorem taxes. The impact for FY2027-28 is $90.4 million, and for the following year when the homestead exemption increases to $250,000 the impact is $126.6 million:
