Breast Cancer Research set for March 7

On Thursday March 7, 2014, a benefit will be held to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Business leaders throughout the panhandle have graciously contributed to help find “A Cure in Our Lifetime.” Presenting sponsors are Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald of Woodlands Medical Specialists, Select Physical Therapy and Gulf Coast Premier Promotions.

Door prizes, “Survivor” raffles and a silent auction include multi-night B&B stays, jewelry, gift certificates and Estee Lauder products.

A $25.00 donation includes event admission, heavy hors d oeuvres and 3 raffle tickets. Raffle Tickets are also available for $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00.

Local Personality Marty Stanovich will be Master of Ceremonies with entertainment by Ron Drolet and the Fred Astaire Dancers. Cash bar with Specialty Cocktails and prices will be available.

Currently, 91 cents of every dollar spent by BCRF is directed towards breast cancer research and awareness programs. In October 2013, BCRF announced new grants of over$40 million to 197 scientists from top universities and academic medical centers across the globe. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $450 million. Money magazine named BCRF one of America’s eight top charities.
