On March 1, a felony sexual assault allegedly happened on the campus of Tate High School. A male athlete is alleged to have forced a female student to perform oral sex. The school administration did not reported the incident to the law enforcement, instead a parent of a student in the classroom notified three days later the school resource officer, who filed the offense report.
Sheriff David Morgan confirmed by phone that the ECSO is investigating the possible crime. He is concerned that a possible crime went unreported.
Morgan will meeting with his school resource officers tomorrow to discuss this issue.
