Dear Parents,
The Episcopal Day School Board of Trustees would like to inform you that we have severed our relationship with Beverly Patteson effective Thursday, November 10, 2011.
The Board has already initiated a search for an interim Head of School. Kim Stafford, our Director of Operations, has been named Acting Head until an interim Head is hired. Kim will be working in concert with Gayle Furlow for the smooth and continuous running of the school. The rest of the administrative staff will continue in their existing roles, and we are confident they will make this transition a smooth one.
The Board will be forming a search committee to launch a national search for Mrs. Patteson’s replacement. We intend the search committee to call forth only the most qualified and competent candidates to insure that your school maintains its standard of excellence.
We have an outstanding team of staff and teachers who make EDS a premier institution of learning. We guarantee that the school’s high standards will continue during our transition. We will be strengthened and supported in the knowledge that we are striving for a school unequaled by any other, and we ask for your support in reaching this goal.
We wish Beverly the best in her future endeavors and thank you in advance for your patience and trust. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. May our Lord bless you and keep you in His care.
