Buzz: Fishermen upset over PB pier fees

On Wednesday July 27, a group of local fishermen led by Michael Williamson of the BLAB TV show ” Catchin’ Fish” are going to the Santa Rosa Island Authority and the asking the board to lower the rates of an annual fishing pass to the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier. On July 14 the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners lowered the rates of the Navarre Fishing Pier from $240 a year to $150. An annual pass for the Pensacola pier cost $291. Residents of Panama City only pay $90 for annual pass and its good for both of their piers. The fishermen are asking the SRIA to match the prices of the Navarre pier.
