I’ve been contacted by more than one Chamber insider who have described a February management team meeting at the Pensacola Chamber where Ed Schroeder instructed to provide research and assistance to the McKinnon and the hotel group.
Denis McKinnon called this afternoon to say he talked with Hizer several times about the issue and had even asked in August being on the agenda of the next Chamber board meeting. McKinnon stated that he and Patel have not discussed the TDC or Convention Visitors Bureau outside of the Sunshine.
Who knew what and when? As so often is the case in this area, we have another failure to communicate and too much happening – whether legally or illegally – outside of the public domain.
Monday’s Chamber Board looks like it will be interesting.
