Cody Rawson of Roads, Inc. has formed a new company, Shoreline Protective Services, LLC, (incorporated on June 15, 2010). He has made a proposal to provide and deploy boom for Escambia County. I’m not sure if it has been awarded or not.
As you may remember, Roads, Inc. did very well after Hurricane Ivan – hauling sand and debris. Its contracts were done under emergency powers and weren’t bid.
The new contract will not be billed either.
The questions will be who will audit and verify Rawson’s work and where will the place the boom. This will be a contract to watch very closely.
