The word I’m getting is that outgoing Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby has decided the jail and his entire office needs new copiers – $350,000 worth. The goal appears to be empty out any special funds under the sheriff’s control and reward campaign supporters.
If the rumor is true, then it’s legal, but definitely another slap in the face of the Escambia County citizens.
