Buzz: No more new schools

According to my sources, the Escambia County School District Watchdog Committee was told yesterday that there will be no more new schools for awhile once Suter Elementary and Ward Middle are constructed. IF this is true, then the much-discussed and long-planned west K-8 school has fallen completely from the district’s capital improvement, even though that proposed school was used to convince voters to approve the referendum for the local option sales for the schools.

It’s amazing that Gerald Boone and Jeff Bergosh are not fighting for the children in their districts. Ahh, but they aren’t for re-election until 2014.
