Buzz: Parent brings guns on GBHS campus

WEAR TV is reporting that a parent was arrested this morning after she showed up on the Gulf Breeze High School campus threatening people with a weapon. Her name has not been released by the Gulf Breeze Police.

The story that is circulating in Gulf Breeze is that the mother of a GBHS freshman was scheduled to talk with school about something suspicious her son had put on You Tube. She arrived on campus about 8:45 am and parked in the handicapped spots in front of the school.

The School Resource Officer noticed that she was fumbling with something in the backseat. She then put on a trench coat and headed for the school. The SRO stopped the woman and she told him that she had gun. The officer tackled and handcuffed her. The gun she carried was not loaded, but there was a loaded gun in the back seat.

The PNJ quotes Principal Sylvan Ladner saying, “The gun was unloaded. It was not brought as a threat to any person at this school.”
