The race to be the first Pensacola city council president appears to be tight between Maren DeWeese, Sam Hall and John Jerralds. The question is: Does the winner of the council vote have to have a 50 percent-plus one majority?
The first round could go:
Sam Hall 3: Hall, Megan Pratt, PC Wu
Maren DeWeese 4: DeWeese, Johnson, Spencer, Myers
John Jerralds 2: Jerralds, Townsend
The second round, if there is one, will be the interesting one.
