We’re hearing that feds’ raids on Santa Rosa County Commissioner Bob Cole’s home and business are tied to questionable land deals the IN reported on in 2009 (Santa Rosa in The Dark). The State Attorney’s Office dropped the case, but it appears that the FBI and IRS have found something wrong. Other county commissioners – past and present – may be caught in the federal web.
In October, I reported on this blog about a federal grand jury into the Blackwater Prison land deal (Blackwater prison target of federal grand jury). It’s very likely that this is part of the raid today.
