Yesterday ECUA officially dedicated the new Central Reclamation Center, which is a truly impressive complex. During the invocation, ECUA board member Lois Benson briefly mentioned Mike Green watching down from heaven and smiling on this project. Mike Green was a developer who was this area’s strongest proponent for moving the Main Street Sewage Plant. He understood in the 1990s how that plant was crippling the development of downtown and west Pensacola. He died of cancer before the project was started.
Kudos to Benson for remembering Mike.
