Call to Action: Angel Food Ministries closing

Our community got some troubling news last week. Angel Food Ministries is closing their doors. AFM provides food for approximately 3,000 people each month. This closure will add a burden for other area food providers who are also experiencing hardships.

Currently, Manna Food Pantries has only a one-month supply on hand.

If you or your company can organize a food collection drive, it will be most appreciated. No one should go hungry.

Manna most needs the following items: oatmeal, grits, cereal (small boxes), canned vegetables, canned fruits, and peanut butter. Unless you collect a very large amount of food, please plan to deliver your collected food to Manna. For more information, please call Manna Food Pantries at (850) 432-2053.

We have a wealth of generous individuals, businesses and organizations in Escambia County. Together, we have the ability to make a significant dent in this community need.

United Way appreciates your support and commitment to Living United!

Sincerest Thanks and Gratitude,
