Calling All Macs

The prayers of Apple consumers who needed a locally owned store to shop have been answered.

Kyle Crawford, a born and raised Pensacola resident, will be opening the doors to Palafox Computers on May 1. For Crawford, the decision to open up shop was easy.

“I don’t have one fear opening this store,” Crawford said. “Apple sales have grown every quarter for four consecutive years. It’s the most valuable company in the world.”

After purchasing his first Mac around 2006, Crawford became an Apple lover and hasn’t looked back since.

“I’m inspired by their products,” he said.

Crawford does have previous business experience, before Palafox Computers, he owned a business selling wholesale spas and pools.

“I know black means good and red means bad,” he joked.

Right now, the Palafox Computers inventory is iMacs and Macbooks with plans to add iPhones and iPads to the sales floor in the future. Crawford isn’t worried about selling to a niche market, though.

“Students, professionals, artists – everyone is an Apple customer,” he said.

Palafox Computers will also offer service and repair for Mac users.

“They can get what they want and fix what they have,” Crawford said of the store. “Customers will always need service.”

Palafox Computers will have its grand opening, Friday, May 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be live music, food, drinks and –the best part, 20 percent off of in-stock computers.
