The Levin Papantonio Rafferty law firm is hosting a free town hall to discuss legal action that’s being taken to help veterans and their families who got seriously ill after drinking toxic water at the Camp Lejeune Marines Corps base.
When President Biden signed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act on August 10, these veterans and their families – and even civilian workers who worked at Camp Lejeune – gained the right to sue the U.S. government for damages for these illnesses.
The problem is many veterans do not know about this new law. They are shouldering the costs of their illnesses alone. LPR partner Brian Barr discusses basic facts of the case.
The town hall is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Monument to Women Veterans Museum, 980 E. Heinberg St. To learn more, visit here or call Brian Barr (850) 435-7000.
