Campaign advice for DeSantis

Gov. Ron DeSantis is rebooting his presidential campaign, and he’s receiving advice from friends and critics. Pro-DeSantis political pundit Javier Manjarres has chimed in with a post on his website, The Floridian.

1. Drop using social media “influencers.”

2. Get rid of shiny cowboy boots and granddad jeans.

3. When you meet voters, introduce yourself and make eye contact as you shake their hands.

4. Be yourself.

Why this matters: The latest Fox Business News poll has Trump leading in South Carolina with 48% followed by Nikki Haley with 14% and then DeSantis with 13%. In Iowa, Trump has 46%, DeSantis 16% and Tim Scott 14%.
