The question on the mind of many Gulf Breeze citizens is whatever happened to July the former owner of Cancun’s Mexican Restaurant. Police officials say that he has been missing for over a year and they got very little information from the current owner, Rogelio Chavez, when they asked him about it prior to the big raid. It’s possible that July and his family simply moved away, but he was a business leader in the community.
When July owned the restaurant, Cancun’s sponsored community events like the GB Chamber’s annual meeting. The Republicans held regular meetings at Cancun’s. Prior to opening Cancun’s, July was head of housekeeping at the former Gulf Breeze Holiday Inn.
