Cannada-Wynn and Pratt elected to top city council spots (added official city announcement)

Jewel Cannada-Wynn is the new president of the Pensacola City Council. Megan Pratt is the vice president. This is the first time two females have held these positions at the same time.

Council Votes Jewel Cannada-Wynn as President and Dr. Megan B. Pratt as Vice President

This morning during the Special City Council Meeting, Council voted on the President and Vice President. Jewel Cannada-Wynn, District 7, was elected City Council President and Dr. Megan B. Pratt, At-large, was elected City Council Vice President.

“I want to congratulate Councilwoman Jewel Cannada-Wynn on her election as Council President. Councilwoman Cannada-Wynn is a strong proven leader,” stated Mayor Hayward. “I also want to congratulate Dr. Megan B. Pratt on her election as Council Vice-President. Both Councilwoman Cannada-Wynn and Councilwoman Pratt bring a wealth of institutional knowledge to their positions. I’m looking forward to working with the new Council President, Vice-President, and Council members.
