CBRE: CMPA did not want to keep catching the javelin

Jim Reeves, chairman of the CMPA Board of Trustees, emailed Inweekly after reading the “CBRE Bait & Switch” post. He reminded me that it was the mayor who insisted CBRE be hired. He called the MOU a desperate attempt by CBRE to keep their contract with the city.

“Their listing with the City and CBRE is due to expire soon, so this is their desperate effort to keep their ‘high priced’ foot in the door,” said Reeves. “I am against this maneuver, but we only voted yesterday to send it on to the City Council, without parcels 3 and 9, in hopes that the Council will take care of it instead of the CMPA ‘catching the javelin’ again.”
