A pedestrian was fatally hit by a car Tuesday evening near the intersection of Cervantes Street at Pickens Avenue. Pensacola Police report the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Earlier this year, Inweekly reported that West Cervantes from Palafox Street to Pace Boulevard had 31 accidents involving pedestrians and bicyclists since 2011. Two pedestrians had been hit in January, one of which died from her injuries.
